SIMPLE 22W PUSH-PULL AMPLIFIER

This is my first amp. It is very simple, the cabinet is cheap and spray-painted with Home Depot paint. The holes were hand drilled and all cutouts were done with tin snips, hack saws, files, brute force.

It used a concertina phase splitter, adjusted to be as balanced as possible, and standard push pull operation with 43% taps on the output transformers, so that operation could be switched between ultralinear and triode operation. There was no global feedback.

It frankly sounded way too harsh for my taste, and was fatiguing to listen to. I tried some different tubes, but the result was always the same. I disassembled it for parts a few months after building it.
