μ TRACER, A COMPACT TUBE TRACER

I love the DIY community. A guy in Holland named Ronald Dekker spent god-knows-how-many hours designing a circuit board to allow construction of a low-cost tube tracer to replace the multi-thousand dollar units commercially available. The result was the μ Tracer. His website is here.

The μ Tracer comes as a kit, which I assembled. The completed board is shown below.

I put the board along with a dell charger and all the wiring in a plastic box from eBay and powered it up and it worked perfectly. Shown below is a 6SN7 triode being tested. The curves match the published curves extremely well. Note the Macbook running Windows7.
