ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE INFO
AND MORE
ARRIVAL:
Water Heater (in hallway closet):
- Locate red-handle valve (back wall, slightly lower than waist-high) leading to hot water heater. Flip valve handle toward back wall SLOWLY so it is parallel to pipe. This may require a little muscle.
- Locate 2nd red-handle valve (right wall, about 6 feet up). Rotate valve handle toward yourself so that it is parallel to pipe. This is cold water
- Flip "Water Heater" breaker to ON.
Air conditioning:
- Above thermostat in hallway is Honeywell Relative Humidity Controller. Set to "ON" and leave there.
- Set thermostat to desired temperature.
Miscellaneous:
- Put icemaker tray in freezer if it is not there and turn on the icemaker. It will start making ice quickly. Do not use ice dispenser on front of frig.
- Move outdoor furniture outside, if inside. Anywhere in front is fine.
- Don't forget to remove plastic from toilet.
- Laundry room is on 2nd floor directly opposite the elevator. Need a key.
- Storage room is on 3rd floor directly above laundry room. Our storage space is marked "A4". Combination is 675.
- Park in visitors parking. Never a problem.
- Extra keys are in top left drawer in kitchen.
- The bikes are in storage. This is a small storage room in the women's restroom at the clubhouse. The code is 3423. Yell into the restroom to make sure nobody is in there. The code to the bike room is 1963. The combination to the bike lock is 6755.
DEPARTURE:
Water:
- Turn hot-water heater valve to closed position - perpendicular to pipe.
- Turn cold-water valve to closed position - perpendicular to pipe.
- Flip "Water Heater" breaker to OFF.
- Run water in kitchen and bathroom to drain pipes.
- Replace stopper in kitchen sink.
Air conditioning:
- Important: Make sure thermostat is set to "Auto" and "Cool".
- Set thermostat to 78.
- Leave Humidity controller "ON".
Miscellaneous:
- Take icemaker tray out of freezer, empty it and put it in sink. Turn off icemaker.
- Bring inside: table, 2 chairs, welcome mat
- Return bikes to storage. See above for access to the storage room. If you can't get bikes into storage, just put them inside condo.
- Food: all freezable perishables to freezer, the rest to trash.
- Empty water from Keurig.
- Empty trash.
- Cover toilet with plastic.
- Put stopper in kitchen sink.
- Put new sheets on (found in closet). Wash old ones if you have time.

INFORMATION FOR VISITORS: READ THIS!!
- Use the Roku remote to control the TV power and volume. Click the home button on the Roku remote to wake it up. We have cut the cable; we use YoutubeTV. All of the common streaming services are available to use.
- Beach stuff is in the 3rd floor storage room. Unit A4. Combination 675. The only exception is the large 10-foot 4-pole beach canopy in the guest room closet.
- Grill is directly in front of unit. Open the valve on the propane tank to use grill. It may have to be manually lit. Lighters and nerd headlight are in kitchen.
- Be sure to clean grill and close propane tank valve when finished. Don't forget to put cover on.
- As you exit the building into parking lot, trashcans and bike racks are to your immediate left behind the sidewalk and hedge.
- If you are walking to Armand circle, it is quicker to take the back way by the kayaks to John Ringling Blvd.
- Walk along the sidewalk by the water to reach the heated pool.
- When you are in Armand Circle, the church (neon cross on top) is your landmark to get back on John Ringling Blvd to come back to condo.
- Smoking is fine outside at least 20 feet from building. Please do not smoke inside.
- In the 2nd kitchen drawer on the left, there are papers, numbers, business cards, rolls of quarters, etc. that might be useful.
